ISNTREE launched a rebranding project, developing a signature wash-off label. The label is designed in the form of a leaf which is wrapped around the plastic containers. The Korean government began to implement a recyclability rating system, and ISNTREE developed this label to increase the recyclability of its containers. The labels for the Watery Sun Gel will continue to use the same printing methods due to the characteristics of its tube-shaped container but the packaging will be newly designed for the consistency of signature design in all products. To increase the recyclability of cosmetic products, ISNTREE developed a signature wash-off label in the shape of a leaf to match the company identity. It also used a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified green tea-recycled paper for its boxes and printed information using soy ink that will lessen the environmental strains on the earth’s soil.

What are some aspects set to change in the ISNTREE Rebranding?

“We are confident with the quality of our products,” said ISNTREE CEO Jinwoo Kim, “but we felt that it was our shortcoming that our brand message to the consumers were rather unclear. Through the rebranding project, we wanted to clearly demonstrate our vision and the messages we had been trying to portray in our existing products.” The CEO further expressed the company’s ambition, noting, “We want our products, through the culmination of a perfect harmony between natural and chemical ingredients, to present simple and apparent satisfaction to those who have a hard time with skincare. In addition to using clean natural ingredients, we want to become a brand that contributes to keeping the Earth clean.”

During the rebranding, ISNTREE decided to attach water peel labels which eliminates the need to print directly onto plastic containers to enhance its products’ recyclability. It aims to reduce the amount of cut-down trees and polluted soil by utilizing boxes made of papers from recycled green tea leaves and soy ink. It is also developing upcycling raw ingredients that utilize discarded natural materials.

The company also aims to pursue more active social movements. In the past, it launched a Christmas project of upcycling discarded Styrofoam to build winter homes for stray cats and an International Women’s Day campaign donating menstrual health products to disadvantaged single-parent families. Through this, the company plans to become a brand that goes beyond helping skin condition and rather a company that assists all life on earth.

Will the content of products remain the same after the ISNTREE Rebranding?

ISNTREE Sun Gel is a product recognized for its excellent ingredients and sensation. There will be no changes in the product’s ingredients. However, the company is developing the vegan-friendly next-level Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream with better moisturizing power and other products to its clear skin line by adding pore tightening function and including an upcycled extract from discarded chestnut shells. Its AHA 8% Clear Essence, popular on Amazon, will be renewed with chestnut shell ingredients that will strengthen skin soothing and pore tightening. In addition, a new texture technology regarding pH and stability was applied to the Clear Essence to deliver AHA ingredients to the skin in the most effectively. ISNTREE’s rebranding is not an event for concern as the project simply offers a chance to further enhance the company’s product contents.
