Nail care and self care has never been more important. Looking good feels good and guys want to look their best too. Manicures and pedicures are not just for the ladies.

Here are my tips and tricks to giving yourself a Mani & Pedi at home. One of the main things you need to consider is setting aside time JUST FOR YOU! Don’t rush. For a manicure you will need at least 15-20 minutes for a pedicure at least 30 minutes.

If you have never had a manicure and pedicure add it to your Bucket List of Beauty or your monthly beauty routine. YOU owe it to yourself and your body.

Here are some basic supplies you will need:

1 tube of cuticle remover PEN -removes dead skin and hydrates

1 bottle of nail polish remover to start fresh- I like one called The Stripper

1 tube or jar of hand and or body lotion and a foot cream

1 clear your favorite nail polish

1 High & Dry Quick-Drying Top Coat 9 it with UVA/ UVB protection

*Optional- a pair of clean nippers or nail clippers

*Optional- pedicure slippers or flip flops

There are two methods one for a quick fix I like to do and below that is a longer more thorough way to do a nail treatment at home.

If you are REALLY short on time and want a quick manicure fix...You gotta try the new beauty sensation Bonblissity. Like a K Beauty sheet mask does for your face this little gem candy scrub will soften and freshen up your nails, nail bed and hands. INSTANT gratification.

Simply place a candy looking cube wrapped in eco-friendly great for the planet way and place the scrub in the palm of your hands. Run the water or dip your hands into a bowl of luke warm water and get your hands and the cube wet. Rub gently paying attention to the entire nail area and on the skin on your hands...tops and bottoms. Leave the scrub on and rub some more. It is kissing your dead skin away. Rinse well and enjoy prettier or more handsome hands in a minute!

I interviewed the hot brand used on the red carpet celebrities, Fashion Week and coveted by the girl next door. I love to support woman business owners and fellow professionals in my beauty industry. So, celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann was who I needed to reach out to. This brand is an Allure magazine Best in Beauty Award winner. Not easy to win. So easy to fall in love with this polish because it is Earth week even more this brand is a healthier gel alternative. Vegan polish that glides on like a pat of warm butter on toast. To keep you safe you need to look for a polish that does not contain the 10 bad for you ingredients and only use the good.

For a PEDICURE at Home you will need the above as well. If you do not want to use a color nail polish that is perfectly fine. Or you might consider using a clear polish instead.

EASY STEPS By Celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann

1. Cleanse & Prep the nails and remove all polish if you had any on.

2.Exfoliate & Shape the nails of your hands and feet. Clip if necessary.

3.Perfect the cuticles and nourish with cuticle cream to follow.

4. Apply a BASE COAT. She says it will make your manicure last LONGER.

5.Add a nail polish if you’d like a dash of color.

6.Apply a TOP COAT to protect your color choice.

7.Apply hand or foot cream, like Rich Girl hydrating hand cream with hyaluronic acid and Steppin’ Out foot cream on your feet.
