A woman has gone viral with a video showing how her lip filler swelled dramatically during a sun-soaked holiday in Spain.

Isabella Skeel, from Copenhagen, jetted off to Marbella for a holiday with friends but ended up in hospital after her lips grew painfully swollen.

The TikTok user believes the reaction was caused by sun exposure and urged followers to use SPF lip balm on their lips if they had fillers.

Experts recommend avoiding intense sun exposure, like sunbeds or sunbathing, for two weeks after lip filler as a precaution to avoid swelling. They also advise using SPF lip balm as part of regular sun care.

It is not known when Isabella had her lips injected. It is possible the reaction was caused by something other than sun exposure.

Isabella's video, which has garnered 1 million views, shows her lips beginning to look inflamed and then the significant swelling she experienced.

Over the images, the caption reads: 'Girls use sunscreen if you have lip fillers. Vacation in Spain ruined.'

In some of the footage, she appeared to be crying as she applied ice to the swelling. However, Isabella took to the comments section of the video, to reassure viewers that her tears in the clip were down to how funny she thought she looked

Isabella shared images of herself icing her mouth before eventually going to hospital to have it looked at by medics.

The affected area may be a bit red, sore and swollen. Any swelling or bruising should settle down in a few days.

You should be advised about what to do to help reduce the risk of side effects.

This includes not wearing make-up immediately after the procedure and avoiding alcohol, coffee and the sun.

'I got my lips done 2 years ago, and first time my lips have reacted like this.'

The video, which has received 32,000 likes, has also amassed more than 600 comments, with people sharing a diverse range of views.

For many, the video served as a sign to not to undergo the procedure themselves.

Some took to the comments section to advise others to avoid having aesthetic treatments, or explain why they themselves would not opt for the injections.

One viewer said: 'And this is why i would never use lipfillers.

Another said: 'easy thing dont have any lipfillers.'

A third poster chimed in saying: 'Please don’t do lip fillers love your lips the way God designed them.'

Several viewers took to the comments section of the video to share their views on why they themselves would not get lip fillers

with one writing: 'Mine all blistered up it was awful. Sunblock on lips from now on, When on holiday.'
